117/365 – Mother’s Day

We celebrated Mother’s day with a trip to Beersel  (near Brussels) to a new castle.  Unfortunately we only got to spend about 30 minutes in the castle as it was closing down for a few hours.  I really liked this castle because it wasn’t touristy – it really felt like it probably did 700 years ago (the castle dates back to the early 14th century).  No handrails, no knight costumes.. not even a hint at what you are looking at.  Still though – very cool.

Two pictures of the day today.. the first and last..

This is my favorite shot the trip even though it’s slightly out of focus…

This last one has nothing to do with a castle.. but from Amy and Morgan playing in Morgan’s Secret Garden.  Morgan found two new friends.. also my 2nd official picture of the day…
