Starry Night Attempt #1

In one of the photo mags I got back in the States - there was a neat photo of a very long exposure at night and I have been itching to try to do it myself. These are my first few attempts at them (click on the pictures to enlarge - it helps!). Both of these have an aperature of F22 (as small as I could make it) and exposure time of around 5 minutes. I think I need to get into the 7+ minute range to really make this work. It was getting cold and I need to work not moving my finger around so much as it seems to have moved the camera just enough to shake it on the tripod). A cable shutter release would be helpful as well so I could sit down and not worry about camera vibrations.

If you want to know what my global job is, I analyze tasks. I figure out what a person needs to do, and they why they are unable to do it. Then I figure out ways to help them get it done.
In school, we focus on fine motor, sensory motor, and visual motor. In the hospital, its self care.
